Life saving equipment to be sited outside Central Park

The Club have recently purchased a defibrillator which is shortly to be installed just outside the main gates at Central Park.

This means that it will be available to not only players and spectators at our games at Central Park, but also to the general public. The Club was mindful of the fact that there are so many people using the cycle path alongside our ground, the Tennis Club , the Bowling Club and the Rec that people may need access to a defibrillator at any time of the day or night.

The Club purchased the defibrillator from Calon Hearts. They are the leading heart charity in Wales for placing defibrillators in communities and delivering CPR and defibrillator training in Wales. This evening Sharon Owen from Calon Hearts visited the Club to carry out a training session on how the defibrillator works and how to administer CPR.

Attending the training were coaches, players, committee members and supporters of all teams within the Club together with representatives from the Tennis Club and Bowling Club.

Members of Denbigh Rotary Club and Denbigh Round Table also attended as they along with the Freeman Evans Trust had made a financial contribution towards the purchase of the defibrillator.

Hopefully the defibrillator will never have to be used, but in the case of an emergency its good to know that one is readily available to everyone in the vicinity of the ground.
