The whole of Denbigh as well as the club heard the terrible news yesterday afternoon that local man, Patrick Kelly, had passed away suddenly after being involved in a road traffic accident between Llanfairtalhaiarn and Llangernyw.

The Kelly family have long been associated with Denbigh Town FC with Patrick's brothers, Shaun and Craig and nephew Jack all playing for the club at one time or other.

Our thoughts are very much with all the Kelly family but go out especially to Patrick's son, Dai Kelly, who is a team manager/ coach with our junior section and player with Denbigh Wanderers,our vets team.

It is so sad for Dai who often had his Dad with him helping out when working and obviously he is devastated. Dai has recently lost his mother Sylvia too but does take comfort from the fact that they are now together once more.

We are truly so sorry.
