Denbigh Town Ladies returned to league action for the first time since October with a thumping victory over Welshpool.
Seven goals from Ceri Purvis as well as strikes from Megan Edwards, Lowri Claybrook and Beth Kell (hatrick) secured maximum points in mid-Wales on a windswept afternoon.
It now closes the gap to league leaders Flint to just a point as the second half of the campaign gets started.
It didn’t take Denbigh long to nudge themselves in front when Purvis grabbed her first of the afternoon on 12 minutes, before grabbing her second five minutes later after Natalie Harrison layed the ball to her.
Claybrook was next in line on 26 minutes taking advantage of Kell’s ball to sweep the ball home before Edwards grabbed one of her own via an assist from skipper Elen James-Owen.
Town were in full control and only had eyes for adding to the lead, Just before the break Kell added her name to the scoresheet to make it five before the break.

Within seconds of the second half Town added to their ever-growing lead. Purvis completed her hatrick before adding a fourth six minutes later.
Just before the hour mark a quickfire treble from an Alex Zannetti own goal, Purvis penalty and an effort from Kell made it ten.
Purvis went on to add another six minutes later before Kell completed a superb hatrick with just over 20 minutes to play. One more from Purvis on 72 minutes rounded off the scoring with Town’s twelfth and her staggering seventh of the afternoon.
Town are next in action on the first weekend of February as 1st take on 2nd with a point separating them, when we head to Flint.
