Denbigh welcomed Perry’s former club Buckley Town to Central Park and ran out convincing 5 - 1 winners.
Perry made 1 change with Matty Hughes missing out with Paul Hart coming in from last week’s team. Denbigh started strong with Alan Bull hitting the side netting within the first minute. The opening goal arrived on 3 minutes when Dave McIntyre played in Captain Warren Duckett who fired home.
The rest of the half saw a below par performance as Denbigh wasted a load of possession and their passing was poor. Buckley always looked a threat on the break but Denbigh went in at half time 1 up.
Whatever the manager said at half time certainly fired the players up and Denbigh came flying out the traps and played some superb football in the opening 20 minutes as they run riot, on 47 minutes Mike Sharples scored with a rebounded effort after Buckley keeper Ben Jones pulled off a superb save from an Alan Bull header. On 58 minutes Alan Bull scored a superb volley after a great ball in by Sal Kisitu, 61 minutes and Bull again scored after good work by Dan Lloyd. On 67 minutes leading scorer Kristian Pierce got in on the act when latching onto a Kisitu pass. Buckley gained a consolation on 75 minutes through Adam Eden but Denbigh then saw the game out to gain another 3 points.
