It was never going to be easy against Ruthin with it being a local derby. The first 15 minutes we dominated and had a few early chances. Our dominance was rewarded by a fine finish from 30 yards on 19 minutes by Ant Williams.
Ruthin then responded by creating two good chances. Ruthin's pressure resulted in a weak penalty decision. Elliot Power saved superbly from Thomas Jones.
Ruthin equalised on the brink of half time with a finish from Llyr Morris. At half time a reaction was demanded by the management team which saw Andy Thomas scoring the winner on 75 mins.
All in all, a good battling performance and now we focus on building on from tonight to pick up another 3 points at Guilsfield on Saturday.
