Biography

Denbigh Town forward Kristian Pierce joined for a fourth spell in 2019.

An iconic Town player throughout the 2010s, Pierce began life at Denbigh and made his debut for the club in August 2011, scoring his first goals in a brace against Bethesda Athletic, including an 89th-minute winner from the penalty spot at just 17. He also had a call-up to represent Wales at schoolboys level.

He remained at Central Park for three seasons before moving to Bala Town on a short-term loan, making his European debut in the 2014 Europa League against Levadia Tallin of Estonia.

In 2014 he opted to switch to Porthmadog but his time was short, making four appearances and scoring once before returning to the club. During the 2015/16 campaign, he went on to score 22 goals for the club, winning the Golden Boot.

Between 2016 and 2019 Pierce had two spells with Rhyl in the Welsh Premier League, before returning to the club most recently in 2019.

Pierce suffered significant injury during his return initially seeing him retire albeit temporarily. He continued with the club, joining the coaching staff and being named Assistant Manager in the summer of 2022.

During his first season in the role, the club won the league and cup double. Pierce was still named in match-day squads and acted as backup goalkeeper, playing twice during his time as a coach.

In February 2024 Pierce opted to focus on a return to playing and stepped down from the coaching staff, making his outfield return to the first team after over a year that month.
