
Denbigh Town Ladies recently held their end-of-season award ceremony following an excellent season in the NEWFA Women’s League.
Aled Davies’ side finished runners-up in the division for the second season running having ended the year in excellent form.
Beth Kell’s superb season was marked with three awards on the night as she shared the top goalscorer award with Ceri Purvis, whilst also picking up Young Player of the Season and Club Person of the Year.
Catrin Davies returned to the side and made an immediate impact earning her the Manager’s Player of the Season award. As for the Players’ Player hononur, that was shared with equal votes across the squad for both Amber Hellon and Lucy Morris.
Finally Vanessa Hodgson was awarded the most improved player in a great season for the 25-year old who recently returned to the game.
Elsewhere thanks were given to members of the club behind the scenes including Chairman Shon Powell, Secretary Neall Condon, Media Officer Ollie Beech, and Treasurer Iwan Jones.
Karen Smith, an integral part of the backroom staff who began her role this season, was also praised for an excellent job this season.
