
An emphatic display for the visitors in last nights representative RAM trophy match ended with a comfortable win with the only complaint being it should have been more!
Chris Morrell's youngsters tore into their Central counterparts from the off with the outstanding Jamie Mcdaid a constant threat. Within the first ten minutes Josh Davies, Ben Hoult, Rhys Lewis and Mcdaid all had chances and this theme continued for the half with only Central keeper Adam Hopley keeping the score at 0.0 at the break.
It looked like it may be one of those days as Coast failed to break the deadlock however they started the second half just as well and the pressure finally deservedly paid off when in the 48th minute, Mcdaid beat his marker on the wing, drove into the area and smashed across goal for the opener. A second wasn't far behind with Mcdaid again supplying the finish from the edge of the box after great work from Caernarfons Alex Jones & Prestatyns Hoult.
With 77 minutes on the clock Central pulled one back despite two great blocks from Costs Bryn Jones, Ryan Clemson pounced on a rebound to give hope of an edgy finish, however after a scramble in the Central Area on 82 mins, the excellent Davies grabbed a deserved goal.
To cap it off a fantastic run from Denbigh Towns Josh Taylor led to man of the match Alex Jones of Abergele reacted first in the final minute to stab home a forth and make the long journey home from Newtown a happy one for the Coast team.
