Denbigh Town Football Club are pleased to be welcoming some special guests to Central Park on Friday night.
Club partners Vale of Clwyd Mind and the Stroke Prevention Team will be on-site at the ground ahead of the JD Cymru North clash with Airbus UK Broughton.
Organised with Denbighshire Cluster, who aim to bring together vital services in health, social care and the third sector, both will be on hand pre-match to offer basic health checks including blood pressure, pulse check and signposting to other services including smoking.
Meanwhile, Vale of Clwyd Mind’s D.O.R.I.S bus (Denbighshire Outreach Rural Information Service) will be in attendance.
VOCM recognises that there has been a rise in self-harm, eating disorders and stress and depression among its outlying countryside areas. Vale of Clwyd Mind exists to both prevent mental ill health and to support people who develop problems and helps them to move on. The service operates throughout rural areas of the county and is free for anyone to speak to and gain advice for themselves or their loved ones.
The charity has already partnered with the club previously with the logo appearing on the sleeves free of charge on our men’s First Team and Reserves shirts, whilst their logo also takes pride of place on the brand new training shirts for the second string side.
Both services are free and we encourage supporters to come down for a chat pre-match.
