We make the journey to fourth placed Guilsfield FC tomorrow [ Saturday ] knowing that even with a few of the top players missing we are capable of winning games, such is the squad gathered by manager Eddie Maurice-Jones. Since the disappointing performance at home to Flint back in February the team has not only played well but battled well too to chalk up those all important 1 nil wins such as on Saturday against Rhyl and the victory over Porthmadog a few weeks ago.

We are currently third in the league and are hoping to consolidate our top three place which will be a tremendous achievement for the manager given the terrible start to this campaign. Some of us are secretly looking at that second place though and a win tomorrow would really help.

One of our rivals for this top three position is our opponents Guilsfield who have two games left. Denbigh have three. We would like all three points but are realistic to know that to get such a result will be very difficult against a very good side who have won their last two matches - both away from home. A draw tomorrow means that Guilsfield cannot overtake Denbigh Town but would help the cause of Holywell who many see as the main contenders for second place. Let's face it, both the Guils and The Reds want a win!

It promises to be a good game. Come on Denbigh !
