Wednesday May 2nd 7.30pm

After losing four of our first five games this season, including a 5 -1 home defeat to Holywell and a 7 - 0 hammering at Bangor in the WPL Nathaniel MG Cup, who would have thought that we would be playing our last game of the season needing only a draw to secure the league runners up spot. What an achievement and whatever the result on Wednesday manager Eddie Maurice -Jones deserves all the praise for turning the fortunes of Denbigh Town Fc completely round from the time he took over at the end of 2016 - 2017 season when we were in danger of being relegated.

A draw would see us finishing second and a defeat would mean that Holywell would take second place if, and only if, they win their last two away games at Penrhyncoch and Porthmadog.

What a chance to make history. Being runners up in the Huws Gray Alliance would represent our highest ever position in the Welsh football system. The players are aware and are very much up for the challenge.

There are no team news at the time of writing but it is hoped that Eddie will have a good choice of first team players from which to pick his best eleven although one or two are still recovering from niggling injuries.

Please make the journey up to Holywell on Wednesday evening and make yourselves heard.

C'mon Denbigh !!!
