Both teams had deferring results in the JD Welsh Cup last weekend, but the league is a different proposition, and with both teams having strengthened since their last meeting, will be keen to make a strong start to the new campaign.

Following the 12-2 drubbing of Rhuddlan Town, Dewi Llion will be faced with another selection headache following a string of outstanding individual performances both from the starting eleven and the replacements.

Dewi stated “It’s a nice headache to have. The lads have been fantastic, particularly those who have had to deal with the disappointment of starting off on the bench. We have a long season ahead which will hopefully include a number of cup runs and therefore it’s essential as a management team we manage squad rotation to maintain both physical and match fitness”.

The match day squad this weekend is further strengthened by the return of Rhys Rowlands from injury picked up during the recent cup tie against Llandudno.

It also sees the introduction of new signings Sam Jones and Matty Morris, Sam having served a previous active suspension carried over from his previous club while Matty has been recovering from an injury picked up in pre-season, with both hoping to make their competitive debuts.
