Denbigh Town’s First Team and select youth graduates competed in an intrasquad friendly on Friday night.

Two teams mixed with first-team players, trialists and youth graduates faced off over the course of three 30-minute thirds at Myddleton College.

The first test of the pre-season schedule saw the group work on different areas in preparation for the new campaign whilst also allowing the coaching staff the chance to evaluate trialists and young players.

The sides were mixed and changed throughout the game but fourteen goals were shared between them. Harrison Bellis began his summer the right way by bagging four goals after being frustrated by goalkeeper Ben Hughes early on.

Two trialists combined for five goals whilst Owen Davies - who opened the scoring after less than two minutes - grabbed a brace.

Youngster Tom Salisbury doubled the advantage early on along with strikes from Paul Fleming (brace) in a useful exercise for the squad.

Denbigh Town go into their first external test next Friday with a trip to Treborth to take on Holyhead Hotspur, kicking off at 19:30.
