Buckley Town v Denbigh Town
Date: 01/03/2025
Kick-Off: 14:00
Location: Globe Way
Competition: JD Cymru North

Form

Town come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw in the Vale of Clwyd Derby last weekend. After going a goal down within a minute, Town fought back to earn a point via a superb header from Owen Davies in the second half. Denbigh are without a win in their last three Cymru North fixtures having suffered defeat against Flint Monuntain and drawing 2-2 with Llandudno.

Buckley suffered defeat last time out in a top-four clash with Holywell Town. In the short trip to Halkyn Road, goals in both halves and three red cards for the Bucks saw them suffer defeat. A week previous they faced Penrhyncoch but couldn’t find a breakthrough in a goalless draw.

Head-to-Head

We last met in December in the home match between the two sides where the visiting Bucks took the points in a 2-1 win. Max Moore and Daniel Holland netted whilst Sam Duffy pulled one back in stoppage time.

We faced Buckley away three times on the road last term with the most recent coming at Deeside Stadium in the league. In March 2024 Josh Lock opened the scoring for Town before Josh Jones levelled the score. In the 90th minute, a Town penalty saw Owen Davies, fresh off the bench, step up to convert for his first goal for the club. We also met in the WBS League Cup winning 6-2 at the Globe whilst Buckley won 3-0 in the Nathaniel MG Cup.

Stat Pack

Denbigh are looking for their first league win away at Buckley since December 2018.

Nathan Brown needs two more goals for his 50th league goal for the club.

Danny Clarke could make his 80th appearance and score his 20th goal for the club in all competitions.
