Mold Alexandra v Denbigh Town
Date: 10/08/2024
Kick-Off: 14:30
Location: Alyn Park, Mold
Competition: JD Cymru North

Form

Denbigh’s last game came two weeks ago on the opening night of the JD Cymru North. Since then a Nathaniel MG Cup weekend in which Town had already exited and the postponement at Prestatyn has meant a lengthy early break for the side.

Mold were in action last on Tuesday night as they journey west to face Bangor 1876. It proved to not be a fruitful trip though as the home side swept aside the Alex in a 3-0 win. It followed on from a very happy opening weekend though as Mold put Llandudno to the sword 3-1 at Alyn Park.

Head-to-Head

The last meeting between the two sides came back in January where a disastrous afternoon for Town saw them knocked out of the WBS League Cup. The Northern Semi-Final ended 5-1 to the Alex at Alyn Park. Our last league meeting also ended in defeat, 2-0 in December. However, Town did register a win at Central Park in the first of the three clashes, 3-2 with a stoppage-time winner from Dan Parry-Jones.

Denbigh will be looking to register their first win at Mold since 2017.

Stat Pack

Mold have won each of the last three games between the sides at Alyn Park, all of which came against Dewi Llion who’ll hope to break the curse on Saturday.

Billy Holmes is one appearance away from 147 games in all competitions for the club, the number of games current squad leading appearance maker Sion Jones is on.

Four players could make their debuts for the club on Saturday; Keelan Williams, Sam Duffy, Luke Wilmot and Morgan Fricker.
