- Goalkeeper Signs from Llandudno

Denbigh Town are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Cameron Darling from Llandudno.

The 22-year-old custodian becomes Town’s seventh signing of the summer as he makes the switch from our Cymru North opposition.

Darling made 29 appearances for Llandudno last season and brings a wealth of experience to the side.

“I’m really glad to sign for Denbigh and link up with the lads here” said Darling.

“The set up and ambition here is superb and something I really bought into, the chance to represent the club was too good to turn down.

“I’m now aiming to play as much as possible and help the team as best I can in the Cymru North this season and beyond, I can’t wait to get going”.

Manager Dewi Llion added, “Cam is a really good goalkeeper for this level and has a lot of experience despite being just 22.

“He won promotion from the league with Colwyn Bay a couple of years ago, and after returning from a bad injury, he established himself with Llandudno last season and will bring a lot to our goalkeeping department this season”.

Darling began with Connah’s Quay Nomads in the academy and featured in the First Team squad at the age of 16 in 2019. He moved on to Buckley Town in 2021 making his debut in a 1-0 win over Castell Alun in the NEWFA Challenge Cup, before making his Cymru North bow in August of that year in a 2-1 win over Holywell.

After featuring 21 times for Buckley and keeping five clean sheets, he was snapped up by Colwyn Bay and made his debut in September 2022 in a victory away at Ruthin Town. Darling totalled 11 appearances for the Seagulls as they won promotion to the JD Cymru Premier.

Following a long-term injury, Darling joined Llandudno as a Goalkeeper Coach in January 2024. The following summer he signed on as a player, keeping a clean sheet on his debut in a 3-0 win over Newport County in the Nathaniel MG Cup.

In 29 games, he kept seven clean sheets as Llandudno fourth in the JD Cymru North and now opts to join Denbigh for the 2025/26 campaign.

Welcome to Denbigh, Cam!
