Denbigh Town Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of forward Hugh Holland from Buckley Town.
The 20-year-old winger joins the club as our third summer signing following time with Buckley in the Cymru North.
“I’m really pleased to sign for the club and can’t wait to get going” said Holland upon signing.
“The ambition, existing squad and brilliant ground are all massive draws and make it easy to want to come and play my football here.
“To get a full season under my belt in the Cymru North allowed me to grow as a player, and now I want to take those next steps with Denbigh, I can’t wait to get going”.
Manager Dewi Llion was also pleased to have the young forward over the line.
“Hugh is a really talented young player and someone I’m pleased to have been able to attract to the club.
“He had a full season in the league last year and now we’re charged with continuing his development here, and I’m confident he can offer a lot to us in the upcoming campaign.
“He’ll offer us a lot going forward and I’m excited to work with him this year”.
Holland began his senior career at 16 with NFA where he made his debut in the North Wales Coast Football League, totalling 21 appearances and scoring three goals. He was picked up by Colwyn Bay, where he continued his development, before making his senior debut for the Seagulls in the Welsh Blood Service National Final against Barry Town United in April 2023.
Holland moved on in January 2024 when he signed for Airbus UK Broughton, making a handful of appearances for the first team along with the Reserves in an 18-month spell.
He made his switch to Buckley in the summer of 2025, featuring regularly for the side and totalling 27 games for the Flintshire side, scoring three times.
He now signs for Denbigh ahead of the new season.
Welcome on board, Hugh!
