Denbigh Town are delighted to announce the signing of Toby Jones from Conwy Borough.

The 31-year-old forward joins the club following interest from a couple of clubs in the JD Cymru North but ultimately committed his football to Central Park.

The former Llandudno, Rhyl and Wales C international joins a talented squad looking to continue their great start to life back in the Cymru North and Jones brings copious amounts of experience at the top level in Wales.

Jones began his senior career as a professional with Neath in the Cymru Premier before signing for Airbus in the top flight. He moved on to Llandudno winning the Cymru Alliance title in 2015 before a stint with Caernarfon Town.

He later went on to play Cymru Premier football with Rhyl as well as time with Llandudno again (twice), Colwyn Bay and signed for Conwy Borough in the summer of 2023.

This season for the Ardal North-West side Jones made 15 appearances scoring 10 goals for the Tangerines, and was named the league’s Player of the Month for November.

“I’m really pleased to sign for Denbigh Town” said Jones.

“It’s a club that is clearly heading in the right direction and when I spoke with Dewi knew it was somewhere I wanted to play football.

“I wanted to go back to playing at a higher level and the team are flying when you consider it’s Denbigh’s first season back in the Cymru North, and I want to play a part in finishing as high as we can.

“I’ve experience playing at the top level in Wales and know it’s a young squad, so being able to pass on what I’ve learned as well as showing what I can do on the pitch is really appealing, I can’t wait to get going”.

Manager Dewi Llion said “Toby is someone I’ve wanted to sign for a while and I’m really pleased he’s committed to us.

“He’s got so much experience at a very good level and that will benefit us having a young squad, and we know exactly what he can bring to the team.

“He’s available for selection and is a very welcome boost to the squad for the second half of the campaign”.
