Denbigh Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Harry Martin from Vale of Clwyd neighbours Ruthin Town.
The 20-year-old joins the club as our first summer signing as manager Dewi Llion looks to build on the squad for the upcoming 2026/27 JD Cymru North campaign.
“I’m delighted to sign for the club and can’t wait to get going at Central Park” said Martin.
“The facilities and ambition of the club were a big draw for me, this is a brilliant place to play football and when Dewi showed an interest it was hard to turn down the chance to come here.
“Now the focus is working hard in pre-season and achieving things with Denbigh, and being a Denbigh lad I can’t wait to pull on the shirt of my home town for the first time”.
Manager Dewi Llion was delighted to have his first signing of the summer over the line.
“Harry is someone I’ve been monitoring for a while, and to finally get him to make the jump to us is really pleasing.
“He’s played a lot of games in the JD Cymru North and scored some important goals, so to bring that to us in a Denbigh shirt next season is a big plus”.
Martin played his junior football with the likes of Prestatyn Town and the academy at Bala, featuring on the bench for the Lakesiders at 16 in the JD Cymru Premier.
He switched to Ruthin Town having also played for the juniors at Memorial Playing Fields, making his senior debut in September 2023 in the Nathaniel MG Cup against Llandudno.
After switching between the First Team and Reserves for the first half of the campaign, he established himself in the First Team from January 2024 onwards, netting his first goal for the club in a 2-1 win over Chirk.
Now established in the senior picture, Martin totalled 89 appearances for Ruthin, scoring 19 goals in all competitions.
He now makes the seven-mile switch to Central Park to sign for Denbigh ahead of the new campaign.
Welcome, Harry!
