- Forward returns to Denbigh

Denbigh Town Football Club are pleased to announce the loan signing of Owen Davies until the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

The former Town striker who has previously spent 18-months at the club returns on a temporary basis from Colwyn Bay.

20-year old Davies returns to the club following his departure in the summer for the JD Cymru Premier side, but now switches back to LL16 for the remainder of the season.

“The club has helped me develop over the last couple of years so when given the chance to come back and get some minutes under my belt I was really please” said Davies.

“I’m buzzing to get back out there and hopefully contribute with plenty of minutes and some goals”.

Manager Dewi Llion was pleased to have the forward back, commenting, “Owen’s a talented young striker who needs no introduction to our supporters.

“We were disappointed to see him go in the summer but the chance to test yourself at Cymru Premier level is difficult to ignore and we understood his aim.

“He comes back to us having worked with a great squad and coaching staff at Colwyn Bay and top flight minutes under his belt, and look forward to having him out there in a Denbigh shirt again”.

Davies joined Town on loan in January 2024 from The New Saints where he quickly made an impact, scoring 10 goals in 14 games for Town.

He signed permanently that summer making 36 appearances for the club and scoring 21 goals, taking his total to 31 goals in a season and a half with the club as well as being nominated for Young Player of the Year for the JD Cymru North.

He signed for newly-promoted Colwyn Bay in the summer, making his debut as a substitute against Caernarfon Town in the Nathaniel MG Cup. He made his top flight debut a week later against TNS.

Following spells in and out of the squad, Davies made nine appearances in the league as a substitute and returns to Town for more minutes on the pitch.

Welcome back, Owen!
