Denbigh Town Football Club are pleased to announce that defender Dan Davies has penned a new deal.
The 21-year-old commits to the club for the 2026/27 campaign, having joined the club in January.
Davies becomes the latest player to pledge his future at Central Park.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be extending my stay at Denbigh” said Davies.
“From the moment I came into the club, everyone around the place, the staff, players and supporters, made me feel welcome, and it’s a club with real ambition both on and off the pitch.
“After what was a difficult period for me with injury before joining, I feel like I’m enjoying my football again and developing every week.
“The facilities, the environment around the squad and the direction the club is heading in made it an easy decision for me.
“I’m excited for what’s to come and fully focused on helping push the club forward next season.”
“It’s great to have Dan sign for the upcoming season as he’s shown a lot of promise since joining us earlier this year” said manager Dewi Llion.
“He’s a player who has a lot of pedigree despite his young age and someone who has fitted in really well with the group.
“His attitude has been great, and he’s shown glimpses of his quality already for us. Having suffered a bad injury now he has the chance to go into pre-season having had games under his belt and hit the ground running for the new campaign”.
Davies began his career in the academy at Wrexham before signing his first progressional contract in 2022, penning a three-year agreement.
He made his debut against Port Vale in the EFL Trophy before spending time with Colwyn Bay on loan.
He joined Flint Town United in the JD Cymru Premier in 2024 but suffered a significant injury before the season opener, delaying his debut until a brief cameo in April 2025.
After 11 games in the first half of 2025/26 for the Silkmen in the top flight, he joined Denbigh Town making his debut in January 2026. He tallied 13 games, scoring once in a victory at Buckley last season.
Good to have you with us, Dan!
