Denbigh Town Football Club are pleased to announce that Luke Johnston has extended his stay at Central Park.
The 20-year-old pens a new deal that will keep him with the club until the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
“Last season was frustrating for me personally after an injury disrupted my progress, but I was happy to come back and finish the season strong” said Johnston.
“The support from the club during that time was brilliant and confirmed this is where I want to be. I’m hungry to get a full season under my belt, help the team push on and repay the faith that’s been shown in me”.
Manager Dewi Llion was pleased to tie down the midfielder for another season, commenting, “Luke’s a really talented young player who impressed us last season.
“His injury was really unfortunate after starting the season really well for us, and was a consistent performer until being sidelined in October.
“It was really positive to see him get back to the pitch at the end of the season and I’m really looking forward to having him fit and available when the lads return”.
Johnston signed for the club in July 2025, making his debut in a 3-1 Nathaniel MG Cup win over Flint Mountain. He picked up the club’s Player of the Month award within weeks of his debut.
The midfielder who can also be applied at full-back began with The New Saints, and had a spell with Flint Mountain on loan in 2024/25.
He featured 20 times for the club last season.
Good to have you with us, Luke!
