
Denbigh Town FC can confirm that Nathan Brown has departed the club for the next 12-months.
The 25-year-old leaves having been offered the opportunity to work in Dubai and will soon take up his new position with Manchester City for the next year.
The club can confirm that his contract has been extended which will see him continue as a Denbigh Town player when he returns to the country.
Brown joined the in the summer of 2022 and totalled 59 appearances for the club, scoring 40 goals. He was a league and cup double-winner with Denbigh in his only full season with Town, scoring 19 league goals and one of six in the League Cup Final victory in May 2023.
The winger was one of two players to play in every game of the Ardal North-West title-winning season and grabbed 30 goals in all competitions last term. He continued to impress in the JD Cymru North having bagged eight goals in the second tier.
Brown has played in every game so far this season, not missing a single league match during his time at Central Park, with his last game coming on Friday as a substitute against Prestatyn Town.
“Nathan was a massive part of the success we had last season, his goals speak for themselves and he continued that form at a higher level” said manager Dewi Llion.
“He’s been a great lad in the changing room and he’ll be hugely missed by us, but this was an opportunity he couldn’t turn down, and we completely understand that.
“In the meantime, we've taken the option to extend his contract which will see him continue as a Denbigh player when he returns to Wales.
"We wish him every success in Dubai”.
Brown said “Goodbyes are never easy, especially not when you are leaving some special people and a Football Club I love behind, but an opportunity working for Man City in Dubai is something I can’t let go.
“To the volunteers, coaches, players and junior section thank you so much for making me fall in love with football again, I’ll be watching from the other side of the world but I’ll see you all soon”.
