Denbigh Town Football Club are pleased to announce a further three retained players for the 2025/26 JD Cymru North campaign.
Skipper Keiron Roberts, Max Cooke and Sion Jones have all committed to the club for the upcoming season, having been pivotal to the side over the last few years.
Manager Dewi Llion commented, “I’m really pleased to have the lads with us next season.
“Keiron took over the captain’s armband last season and led the side superbly on and off the pitch. He brings a calm experience to a young side and is a reliable presence in the side.
“Max joined us in January 2024 and last summer broke into the side as a massive part of the back four, we lost him for a spell this season but he’s returned to us after time away and fits the squad really well.
“Finally, Sion is already an iconic player with fantastic experience despite still just 24. He’s made more appearances for the club than anyone else in the squad and served us with distinction, he’s key for us ”.
Captain Roberts signed for the club in 2020 before making his debut following the pandemic a year later. He won the double with the club in 2022/23 and has been at the heart of the side in midfield, surpassing a century of appearances last season.
Cooke joined in January 2024 from Chester FC, making his debut in a 2-1 win away at Buckley Town. The 18-year old made nine appearances in his first season before adding 24 games last season, establishing himself as a core player at the beginning of the season before travelling mid-season and returning in March.
Sion Jones signed for the club as a 17-year-old and has totalled 177 appearances in all competitions. As the club’s longest-serving player, Jones will now partake in his sixth season with the club since signing seven years ago. He won the league and cup double in 2022/23 with the club.
See you in pre-season, lads!
