- An update on work at LL16

Denbigh Town Football Club have moved into further stages of ground development work at Central Park with the progress of our new community facility.

In the coming weeks, those in attendance at Central Park, along with the many passing by during the week, will observe changes to the ground both inside and out.

Work has been completed on the removal of the hedge at the ‘School’ end of Central Park and fencing will now be installed as we begin to prepare to elongate the dimensions of the playing surface. This is a necessity ahead of the 2026 UEFA U19 European Championships, alongside potential future JD Cymru Premier football.

Not only will this allow for the essential work at Central Park and as a result the tournament and top-flight football, but for international matches to continuously return to Denbigh at an elite level for both Men’s and Women’s youth matches which have previously brought incredible players from around the world and large footfall to the area.

The club has worked with key partners to survey the hedge and its ecological value which has been thoroughly assessed before allowing the club to remove it. This has been conducted now to ensure no birds nest within it from March onwards, allowing us to safely bring it down.

In other areas, the structure of the community facility is now clear to see with blockwork continuing to rise as we enter the final stages of the project.

The club looks forward to revealing further progress on and off the pitch in the coming weeks and months.
