Ellen Lawson’s Denbigh Town Ladies began their pre-season preparation with a bang on Sunday with a 5-5 thriller at the Rec.
Vauxhall travelled from across the border for their first game back since reforming their Ladies division and if Sunday is anything to go by, it’ll be an exciting ride.
Denbigh were in action for the first time since the end of April and coming off a 2nd placed season in the North Wales Women’s Football League East.
The back-and-forth affair saw both sides finding the net on five occasions with the returning Amber Hellon beginning as she means to go on.
Further goals followed on from Natalie Harrison, Catrin Davies, Lowri Claybrook and Ceri Purvis in a real treat for those in attendance.
The Ladies begin their competitive season in September and further pre-season friendlies will be confirmed soon.
