Forward Matthew Worrall signed for Denbigh Town in the summer of 2025, his third spell with the club.Worrall began his footballing journey with Llay Welfare before switching to Denbigh in March 2018 as a 23-year-old. He made his debut for the club just days later, scoring within three minutes of being introduced from the bench and adding a second shortly after in a 5-1 win on a sopping night at home to Holyhead Hotspur.
Worrall ended his first spell with six goals in nine games in the Cymru North before moving on to Rhyl that summer, before returning to Wrexham with Llay.
Worrall spent the next few seasons having spells with both Llay and Gresford Athletic whilst he also spent time with Cheshire Football League side Capenhurst Villa.
In January 2023, Worrall re-joined Denbigh for a second incredibly successful spell. The forward bagged 21 goals in 20 games as Town lifted the Lock Stock Ardal North-West title and Lock Stock Ardal Northern League Cup - scoring twice in the Final.
The following season in the Cymru North saw him bag 15 goals before moving on at the end of the campaign. He signed for Gresford briefly before heading over to Llay on loan where he scored twice in eight games for the Miners.
In November 2024, he signed for Lex XI in the NEWFA Premier Division, scoring six goals in as many games as the side earned promotion to the Lock Stock Ardal North-East.
Ahead of the 2025/26 campaign he returned to Central Park for a third stint with the club.
