Farebrother began in the academy at The New Saints before continuing his development as a youngster with Aberystwyth Town. During his time in development football he was called up to represent Wales at Under-16 level.
In 2020 he switched to play in England with spells with Padiham, Clitheroe, Widnes and Ashton Town over the course of three years, before returning to Wales for a second spell at Penrhyncoch. After half a season he signed for Chirk AAA in the JD Cymru North where he remained for 18-months.
In January 2024 he joined Porthmadog in the Lock Stock Ardal North West, where he remained an ever-present at Y Traeth keeping 11 clean sheets in 39 appearances. During his spell he lifted to Lock Stock Ardal Northern League Cup in a 4-1 win over Brickfield Rangers last May.
His impressive displays didn’t go unnoticed and in the summer of 2025, he was picked up by newly promoted Rhyl 1879. He made his debut in a victory over Guilsfield in August before keeping a clean sheet in a 3-0 win over Caersws a week later.
Farebrother departed Rhyl in the November before signing for Denbigh in January 2026.
