McHarrie signed for Denbigh in 2018 after picking up his footballing education with Wrexham, captaining the youth team at the Racecourse. He made 30 appearances in all competitions for Denbigh during his initial time with the club.He left to join Llandudno in August 2019 and spent a season at Maesdu Park, totalling 18 appearances and scoring once before the season was cut short. He went on to join Conwy for 2020/21, but the season was cancelled.
In the summer of 2021 he opted to join Buckley, making 104 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals before returning to Denbigh for a second spell in August 2025.
