A shuffled line-up for Denbigh Town Reserves only managed a point away at Junction as the two sides couldn't break the deadlock in the warm September sun.
Denbigh were missing most of their usual starting 11 as the likes of Matty Blake and Alex Lewis have left for university.
Sam Cartwright, Adam Jones, Darren Nixon and Rob Hurst missed the game through injury.
Also missing were Stuart Griffiths, Jamie Evans, Luke Farley, Sam Jones and striker Luke ‘Madness’ Appleby who was taking a well earned relaxing spa break.
Denbigh started with four youth players with Barney Murray, Dan Whitfield, Dan Lewis, and Andy Thomas playing their second game of the day after featuring for the youth team earlier that morning!
Manager James Drury had to dust his boots as he made his first appearance of the season in the centre back position.
As for the game itself, chances were few and far between for both sides and Barney Murray did have to make a couple of good saves to keep his first clean sheet for the reserves.
Denbigh were restricted to long-range efforts but none really troubled the Junction keeper.
Sam Tate was influential in the Denbigh midfield but chances were limited in front of goal and both teams had to settle for a point each.
Next up, for Denbigh is a home match against Llanrwst Reserves on Saturday, 3 October.
