Denbigh Town Football Club are pleased to announce that defender Dan Flanders has committed to the club for 2026/27.

The 19-year-old extends his Central Park stay for a third season, having joined, initially on loan, from Connah’s Quay Nomads in January 2025.

“I’m really pleased to be staying at Denbigh for another season. Since joining the club, I’ve loved being part of the group and you can see the ambition around the place both on and off the pitch" said Flanders.

"The fans have been brilliant with me and there’s a real togetherness within the squad, which makes it a great environment to be involved in. I feel like we’re building something positive here and I’m excited to continue being part of that.

Personally, I want to keep improving, contribute as much as I can and help the team push on over the coming season”.

“It’s great to have Dan with us again for next season, he’s been one of our standout young players in recent years” said manager Dewi Llion.

“He’s made huge progress since he first arrived and for me is one of the more talented young players in the division.

“To have him commit to us is really positive and something I’m really glad to have done ahead of an exciting new season for us.

Flanders joined the club in January 2025 on loan from Connah’s Quay, before signing permanently the following summer.

He made his debut for the club days after joining and also played 90 minutes in our JD Welsh Cup Quarter-Final against Llanelli a month later.

After signing permanently, he grabbed his first goal on the opening day of the Cymru North campaign against Caersws in August 2025, and has totalled 43 appearances and scored twice in the previous year and a half.
